2016 Advent Calendar Thingy: Day 5

Poor Chikorita. She never stood a chance against Mr. I'm-Way-Too-Overrated For My Own Good, Typholsion. When Gen 2 was announced, fucking everyone went with Cyndaquil or Totodile, and Chikorita was just kinda there. Grass-type starters almost always get the shaft, which is probably why I love Chikorita so much.

I was originally going to get Totodile myself, as this was back when Water-types were my favorite types, but then I found out Silver would get the starter you were weak to and, seeing as he was a Grade A asshole, I felt kinda bad for letting him get Chikorita. So I decided to choose her at the last minute. Yeah, he got Cyndaquil, but so what? I've always hated Quilava/Typhlosion, anyway. They look like skinny Snorlaxes on fire, like what kind of dumb design is that? I'll take a cute, magical flower sauropod over that any day.
