2016 Advent Calendar Thingy: Day 9

Hey look, a Gen 7 entry! I wasn't sure if one was going to make it on here before I started this, but I'm sure glad it did, because I really dislike Ground-types. Like a lot. Even moreso than Fighting or Poison. Whereas Fighting and Poison at least had some cool entries and designs, Ground-types were always perpetually ugly in my eyes. Either that, or just extremely bland and samey. Like, how many of these things are just giant dirt monsters and sand dinosaurs? Gen 7 threw me a bone here and introduced a Ground-type that's actually unique and NOT one of those! Mudsdale's really cute and fun to use, despite how damn slow he is and even gets his own special move! ...Which is just a worse Earthquake. Okay? I don't know why he has dreads like a Jamaican, a mohawk like Mr. T, or plungers for feet, but Mudsdale's a welcome addition to the Ground-type family after a slew of mud monsters and swamp things. Plus, he's a horse. And ponies horsies are awesome.

Can't say I'm too fond of Animal Kirby, either. He's not the worst ability, but he's just kinda... there. Yeah, there's not really a Ground or Earth Kirby, but Animal Kirby digs through stuff, so that's close enough. He's a cute, but for only being in one game and having a really small niche, he's kinda forgettable.
